ASHI recently took a last minute trip to Ibiza, not only it being my favourite place to escape for sea, sun and fun, but knowing closing parties had ended, and the “season” had officially finished, fewer visitors were amongst the crowds, the clubbing scene was over, and more locals lingered the streets, It was in no way what I imagined, only better..still with sunny days, a balearic buzz and a peaceful ambience.

As it’s a dream for my husband and I too make the magical island our full time living quarters one day, I wanted to see it from a locals standards view… rent an apartment, get a car, explore the island, and check out places that offer fresh, nutritious food options. It’s good to know that this island is really making a wave with the healthy eating trend.

Here are my top 5 healthy hot spots I discovered while I was here.

1) Atzaro Ok, so those of you who know me, I spent 10 days here in the summer, and got married but regardless… A beautiful hotel spa with a delicious, nutritious, seasonal menu and fresh juice bar . The staff were super friendly, the food is really good, not to mention the spa treatments are out of this world. If you don’t decide to stay here, I would at least do a spa day.. eat a healthy lunch, take a yoga class, sip on a green juice, lounge by the pool, and book a deep tissue massage with santi. I guarantee a day will feel like a week. Ibiza settings with Bali inspiration.. The best of both.

2) Passion Ibiza I drank and ate here few times, as it was in walking distance of where I was staying the first few days in the marina botofoch area.  The place itself was charming, cute and had an extensive menu of healthy dishes, juices, smoothies, salads, and cocktails. I loved that you could order a vegetarian breakfast bowl, an organic burger to a superfood cocktail. It was nice to see options of high quality dishes, and drinks that had been healthified to the highest standard.  Being a nutritionist, I aim to eat healthy, balanced and varied and I give this huge points for creating a guilt free menu versatile for everyones palate.

3) Wild beets Tucked away in the quaint neighborhood of Santa gertrudis, a suburbuia style nieghborhood with an ibiza twist, comes Wild beets, a cool vegan cafe with yummy fresh smoothies, savory dishes, and cold pressed juices to go, you can sit on the comfy patio to catch some rays while sipping on your juice, this could potentially be my local hangout one day, so I was very happy to see this high end healthy haunt in the middle of the island.

4) Organic Market I was sooo looking forward to checking out this place as it was also minutes away from me in the Marina Botofoch area but unfortuntuely it had just closed the previous weekend.  However this is what I heard “ Organics market popularity is reflected in the fact that its already proving massively popurlar with locals and tourists alike. Previously Cappucino, this vegetarain and vegan resturant is one where everything is made with real passion and love. A real taste for the taste buds that you will remember long after your journey to ibiza is over” It will be defintely be the first place I visit when I am back in ibiza 2016, think I will need to pop in a few times, with such a delicious menu they offer.

Prince: Whether you are falling out of pacha, or staying near by, this little deli opens at 6am and serves fresh, to- go affordable juices. Situated between The Gran Hotel, and Pacha, with long opening ours.. why not grab a super juice before heading to see Soloumun 😉

I am already counting down the days until my next trip to Ibiza, there are many more healthy places to explore and am looking forward to checking them all out.

Peace and Love
