Now that that 2017 as arrived, it is also a good time for renewal in your mind, body and spirit. This is a safe and sensible 7 week detox that will turbo boost your health and wellbeing for the new year. 7 weeks is a sufficient amount of time to reboot your system for vibrant health and glowing skin. Considering there is 52 weeks in the year, 7 weeks is not that much time, just think how good you will feel and look by the end. It takes 21 days to break and start a new habit so by the time you are done, you will most likely continue this way of eating 80% of the time because of the health and beauty benefits. By nourishing yourself with nutritious meals, mat workouts, and positive mantras, you will feel a difference, see a difference and be a whole new you.
A.M: Elixir of life shot ( Get the recipe on youtube) or 1 juice of organic lemon, pinch of turmeric, pinch of cayenne paper, drizzle of raw honey, 1 cup of lukewarm mineral water.
Breakfast: Fresh Home made smoothie: 2 handful of leafy greens, 2 handfuls of one to two types of berries, 1 scoop of vega shake, 1 cup of unsweetened nut milk, a small avocado or banana , and 1 tsp super food like maca, spirulina, chia seeds ect. Hydrate: 8-10 glasses of mineral water – adding lemons gives you more cleansing, detoxifying and beauty benefits.
Mid Morning: Coffee or matcha/green tea or herbal tea
Lunch: Fresh vegan Soup or salad with a palm size amount of salmon, organic chicken, or gluten free whole grains.
Snack: Large organic veggie green juice( no fruit accept lemon) with a plant based protein ball or handful of nuts or 1 cup of of pop corn, or a gluten free/sugar free/ dairy free whole grain muffin( home made is best otherwise look at healthy grocers or healthy juice cafes ), if you have a juicer make 2 big batches Sunday and mid week, and simply store them in jars .
Dinner: Sautéed veggies 2-3 servings with protein or gluten free grains or selection of salmon/ veg sushi/ sashimi
Dessert: 1 cup of fruit with a cup of Herbal calming tea like yogi tea bed time

Moving your body
Weekdays: 5 Days a week of effective exercise at least 45 minutes of Power yoga like ashtanga, vinyasa/ power flow, and advance mat pilates /reformer , these both combine breathing and moving at the same time, with physical results of sculpting/ strengthening, toning and tightening… the combo makes you looks long and lean. Yoga, pilates and meditation are integral components for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The perfect balance of making you both feel and look strong .
Weekends: Weekends opt for more gentle movement like yoga nidra, hatha yoga, a bike ride or a long brisk walks. ( this is why I love having a dog, I get at least an additional 30 minutes a day of effective exercise)
Indulge in wellness treatments like massages, acupuncture, reiki, reflexology, crystal healing, and relaxing facials these all have wellbeing benefits to help calm and cleanse you even more.
Check out your local yoga studios and sign up for a wellness work shop or 2 or 3 during the 7 weeks, many of them host weekend wellness events. As this is the beginning of the year, and it is a 7 week reboot, its a great time to invest in yourself, which will improve your sense of wellbeing, from a feeling of blah to brilliant.
Read: 20 minutes of inspirational reading every evening before bed; such as Success principles. The Secret, The universe has your back, The compound effect, Feel the fear and do it anyways, The magic, or The four hour work week ect.
Listen to podcasts: search for motivating, uplifting short pod casts, that you can listen to on the on the tube, in the tub, or just while walking to get your morning coffee.
Go out and get some fresh air, breathe, and walk at least brisk 15 minutes a day.
Wake up 20 minutes earlier: Wake up earlier and mediation first thing in the morning, download apps like head space, the calm or Chopra center.
Declutter: Spend 1 -2 days over a weekend decluttering your house; make a list from the kitchen, home office, bedroom, bathrooms, living room, books, stationary, medicine cabinet, electronics, make up, dvd/ cd’s and beauty products – go through the list, and take your time, I learned from Marie Kondo, if the item/ object does not give you any joy when you see, it feel it touch it and have not used it in a long time, than time to say GOOD BYE.. some things may be hard, but it feels so good by the end of this….. plus its an excuse to go out an treat yourself to some new shoes, luxury serums, and stationary 😉
Express gratitude: Every day think or write down three things that you are grateful for, anything from having shelter, vibrant heath, the gift of life, warm water, food to eat, clothes to wear, or support and love from family and friends ect. Adopting an attitude of gratitude is truly the vitamin for your soul. By turning your complaints into complimenting the good things in your life, will only give you positive mental benefits. Whatever you focus on expands, so be sure to turn negative thoughts into positive ones and just start to notice how good you really do have it, and count your blessings on a daily basis.
Unplug: After dinner switch off, and get off electronic devices… modern day living is revolved around smart phones, so it is important to just unplug, switch off and stay present.
