Feng shui originates from China, and is referred to the practice of creating harmonious surroundings that enhance the balance of yin and yang. By having more Feng shui around you, you will also feel more joyful, inspired, calm, balanced and simply more fabulous in your life. The key to optimal health and wellbeing is about feeding your mind, body and spirit with nourishing thoughts, food and having a healthy home environment.

Here are my Top 3 Tips to infuse more Feng shui

1) Declutter your closet, and everything else.

Usually when you here the word “declutter” you instantly think, closet clear out, and straight to your local charity shop, but I’m talking about going all Marie Kondo on your home….. from the electronics, to books, to beauty products, kitchen ware,  socks, undies you name it. Firstly give yourself a good 1-2 days over a weekend, with no distractions so you do a proper clear out.  Simply make a list of categories, from your bedroom, bathroom, to book shelves, ect,  and touch and go through your items, only keeping what truly gives sparks a sense of “joy’, if you have had it longer than year, it doesn’t give you that that joyful feeling,  throw it, say good bye and move on to the next one. By the time you are done, you will not only feel more free, but laving a clutter free one does wonders for your mind. cluttered home, cluttered mind, clear home, clear mind. Try to do this 2-3 x a year.  Junk in your home will effect you mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

2) Crystals: Crystals are making a come back recently, which I am so happy about, as a part of my wellness journey, I have added crystals to my life for. Crystals have incredible healing powers to transform the energy and aura around you. By placing them different colours and crystals around your home, in the entrance or on your desk, each one will bring about different benefits. For example on my desk where I spend a lot of time, I have 4 different ones, with a mix of green and pink hues. Green crystals are connected with the heart. They help balance emotions and relationships, encourage personal space and growth, promote focus and concentration as well a sense of calm. Also known to help with concentration and focus, so I have a big flat shaped one I place next to my lap top.  Pink Green crystals are associated with the heart. They serve to balance emotions and relationships, encourage personal space and growth, and bring about a sense of calm. Green Aventurine is an excellent heart balancer, it promotes easy expression of feelings.

3) Essential oils: Essential oils are organic compounds extracted from plants with tremendous healing properties, which help improve your physical, mental and emotional health,  you can naturally enhance your health and wellbeing by adding different types of botanical oils to your wellness regime.  As I am a avid doTERRA essential oils user, I have found using different scents for different extremely beneficial.  Living in a fast paced city like London,  she suggested, the wild orange blend for energising, invigorating, and uplifting benefits… ( I use first thing in the morning before my meditation, so by the time I am finished, I am feeling of joyful, happy, and motivated for the day), after lunch I rub a few drops of Balance into my palms , which is a grounding blend, perfect for that afternoon dip, it also helps to ease any anxious feelings, promotes a sense of calmness and evokes feelings of tranquility and balance. Lastly after a nice epsom salt soak, I use the Lavender blend before bed time, the scent is so soothing, relaxing, and helps promote a peaceful sleep as well as reduces any anxious and tense feelings.

So all in all to Feng shui the sh## out of yourself, by doing a major declutter, placing crystals around your home, and adding essential oils to your daily regime to enhance your sense of wellbeing and help you feel more balanced.

Because a balanced life is a joyful life, a happy life and a fabulous life.
